Amid the Premier League's shutdown due to COVID-19, Tottenham Hotspur's South Korean winger Son Heung-min will carry out his mandatory military training later this month.
In South Korea, all healthy adult males have to serve in the armed forces, but the 27-year-old footballer earned his military exemption by winning a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games.
He is still required to complete his basic training along with 5-hundred-and-44 hours of community service over the following 34 months.
Son is expected to begin his three-week training at a Marine Corps camp on the southern island of Jeju on April 20th.
The Club confirmed that the South Korean winger will return to London once he completes the military training in May.
