The U.S.' National Basketball Association is suspending its 2019-2020 season until further noticeafter a player tested positive for COVID-19.
The NBA made the announcement on Wednesday local time following Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert , reportedly testing positive for the virus.
The Western Conference match between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night was delayed before being canceled altogether after the player's test results were reported shortly before tipoff.
In a statement, the league said it will use this hiatus to figure out corresponding measures to cope with the coronavirus outbreak.
