South Korea's response to the coronavirus outbreak is getting praise from international health experts.
On Twitter, the former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Scott Gottlieb, noted that some 20-thousand people in South Korea will soon have their COVID-19 test results, and said this highlights what he called the country's "significant diagnostic capability."
A prominent MERS expert, Marion Koopmans, retweeted data showing that South Korea has already tested tens of thousands of people.
And a visiting scholar at George Mason University Korea, Andray Abrahamian, told Time magazine that South Korea has high diagnostic capability, a free press and a democratically accountable system.
