Wrapping up his brief stay at the Davos forum in Switzerland, U.S. President Donald Trump has lashed out at the Democrats as they continue his impeachment trial in the Senate.
For more on this and other news around the world, let's turn to our Yoon Jung-min.
Jung-min, President Trump is not mincing his words about the situation.
Right, Mark. While the impeachment trial continues for a second day in the Senate, President Trump has once again called the Democrats' impeachment move a "hoax" and "bad" for the United States.
Take a look at what he had to say at a press conference in Davos.
"It's a total hoax. It's a disgrace. They talked about their tremendous case and it's all done, their tremendous case. They had no case. The Senate is going to have to answer that, I have great respect for the Senate."
As we touched upon, it's now day two of the Senate trial.
Democratic House managers are presenting their case against President Trump in the Senate after a 13 hour-long debate on Tuesday.
The Senate has rejected Democrat amendments to subpoena records from four key government departments related to the Ukraine scandal, namely the White House, the State Department, the Defense Department and the Office of Management and Budget.
They also turned down by a party-line vote to subpoena key officials from the Trump administration, including acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and former National Security Adviser John Bolton.
In his opening argument, leading House Manager Adam Schiff called for President Trump's removal from the office, insisting there's overwhelming evidence to show he abused his power and obstructed Congress.
President Trump and his legal team say the impeachment has no ground and is a purely partisan move by the Democrats.
