President Moon Jae-in has called for public workers to put in efforts to achieve what he called tangible change this year.
He was speaking at a luncheon earlier today in Sejong City with around a dozen young, newly hired civil servants.
He said there are many positive changes taking place to promote values such as innovation, peace and fairness, and said there are people who are unable to feel them due to economic difficulties.
But instead of people sacrificing themselves to make things better, President Moon said it's important to enable civil servants to live a good life, balancing work, leisure and family.
And for the new public workers, he said the administration will also do its utmost to bring about real change in their lives.
