North Korea's top diplomat Ri Yong-ho appears to have been replaced.
NK News reported on Saturday that he was replaced this week in a major political reshuffle that could significantly affect Pyeongyang's foreign policy.
Ri had served as the regime's foreign minister since 2016 and has a 38-year career in foreign relations.
NK News added, Ri Son-gwon , the former chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country will reportedly be named as the new foreign minister.
His replacement has not been made public yet but according to NK News, it may be announced on or before an event for resident diplomats, which is to take place next Thursday.
