The world's number one woman golfer Ko Jin-young has been named 2019 Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America.
The 24-year-old Korean was honored with the title in just her second season on the LPGA Tour, …after winning four times including two majors …and sweeping every major LPGA award.
She holds the second-lowest average in LPGA history …and made headlines by playing 114 holes without a bogey, …breaking Tiger Woods' record by four holes.
In the men's division, U.S. golfer Brooks Koepka won Player of the Year… while Scott McCarron was named Senior Player of the Year.
The three winners will receive their awards at the association's annual dinner in April, …on the eve of the opening round of the Masters.
