The S&P 500 gained point-nine percent to end the day at 3,168, notching a record close.
The Nasdaq also posted an all-time closing high, rising point-seven percent to 8,717.
In South Korea, the benchmark KOSPI jumped almost 32 point or one-and-a-half percent to 2,137.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose one-and-a-quarter percent to almost 637.
Oil prices rose with both Brent and WTI increasing over one percent a barrel to 64 and 59 U.S. dollars, respectively.
