U.S. conducts ground-launched ballistic missile test after INF treaty exit Updated: 2019-12-13 10:10:26 KST

The United States has conducted a ground-launched ballistic missile test.
The Pentagon said on Thursday that the test took place from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
The missile flew for more than 500 kilometers before being terminated in the open ocean.
The test would not have been allowed under the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty or INF.
But the U.S. withdrew from the INF agreement with Russia in August as it claimed Moscow was violating the treaty - an accusation the Kremlin has rejected.
