Huawei has filed a petition against the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, over its decision to bar the firm from a government subsidy program.
The FCC recently restricted telecom carriers in rural America from using government funding to buy Huawei's equipment, citing national security reasons.
Huawei claims the move is in violation of the U.S. constitution, and is politically motivated.
The lawsuit came after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned this week against working with Huawei and another Chinese firm: ZTE accusing them of spying on users and stealing personal data.
