South Korean golfer Kim Sei-young has won the final tournament of the LPGA tour, receiving 1.5 million U.S. dollars the biggest prize in the history of women’s golf.
On the last day of the CME Group Tour Championship held in Florida on Sunday, local time,Kim made a 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole, closing with a 2-under 70.
Tensions rose at the end of the game as English golfer Charley Hull finished strongly. But Kim's birdie on the final hole gave her the victory by just one shot.
It is Kim's third LPGA Tour title of the year and 10th of her career, which makes her only the fourth Korean female to have more than 10 LPGA titles.
