S. Korean, Japanese lawmakers meeting in Japan to find ways to resolve conflicts Updated: 2019-11-01 10:15:02 KST

Some 40 South Korean lawmakers with the South Korea-Japan Parliamentarians' Union are in Japan to attend the regular joint session of the union with their Japanese counterparts.
Beginning about an hour ago, lawmakers from the two countries are holding their 42nd annual session at the Japanese parliament.
Lawmakers say they'll raise Japan's compensation of Korean wartime victims, the termination of the two countries' military intel-sharing pact, and the decision by both sides to revoke the other's trusted trade partner status.
They will hold a press briefing later in the day, and release a joint statement on topics agreed upon by both parties.
