Prime Ministers of S. Korea and Japan could meet in Tokyo on October 24 Updated: 2019-10-17 16:10:45 KST

South Korea and Japan appear to be getting closer to a meeting of their prime ministers, aimed at trying to resolve the countries' recent tensions.
Japanese media are reporting that Korea's Lee Nak-yon and Japan's Shinzo Abe are looking to hold the meeting next Thursday.
Lee will be attending Japanese Emperor Naruhito's enthronement next Tuesday and a related dinner banquet the following day.
Meanwhile, Tokyo is considering postponing a celebratory parade after the Emperor's enthronement.
Broadcaster NHK says this is so Japan can deal with the aftermath of Typhoon Hagibis.
