South and North Korea will play each other next month in a 2022 World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang -- the first match of its kind in 29 years.
The match is set for October 15th.
The Korea Football Association in Seoul said Tuesday that it was notified of the plan by the Asian Football Confederation, which met with North Korean football officials in Malaysia the previous day.
Normally, national teams play half their World Cup qualifiers at home, but North Korea has refused to host South Korea in the past.
A KFA official said the South Korean squad will most likely travel to Pyeongyang via China and they've already applied for Chinese visas.
