There was no Chuseok break for Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, as he visited a metro construction site in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, to check on the project's progress.
The Vice Chairman's visit to the construction site in Riyadh, marks his first trip for Samsung C&T's overseas project.
The firm created a consortium with Spain and France in 2013, to build six subway lines in the city.
The project is the nation's first public transportation construction project, and is expected to be completed by 2020.
The project is also part of Samsung's business presence in Saudi Arabia, South Korea's biggest trading partner in the Middle East.
