The Blue House says President Moon is ready to hold talks with the leaders of the nation's political parties at any time.
That was in response to a proposal earlier today from main opposition Liberty Korea Party chief Hwang Kyo-ahn, who who wanted to talk with the president about Japan's export curbs.
Hwang emphasized that the "crisis" caused by Japan's new measures is retaliation against Korea over historical issues, adding he will meet Moon under any circumstance.
That's in stark contrast to what he demanded back in May when he wanted to meet just one-on-one, with no other parties present.
If such a meeting does take place it would also cover the supplementary budget bill that still needs parliamentary review.
