FM Kang expected to give lawmakers snippets of info about recent Kim-Trump meeting Updated: 2019-07-03 13:18:07 KST

South Korea's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha and unification minister Kim Yeon-chul are speaking to lawmakersthis afternoon about last weekend's meeting at the DMZ of the leaders of North Korea and the U.S.
They were expected to be answering questions from lawmakers on the relevant committees for about two hours.
The Blue House says Kang was briefed by the U.S. on the meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, so today's session is expected to focus on questions like that.
Also expected to come up are Japan's new measures retaliating against South Korea for its court rulings on Japan's use of forced labor during World War Two and how Seoul plans to respond.
