Seoul urges Tokyo to not use toughened seafood inspection against S. Korean imports Updated: 2019-05-31 19:21:34 KST

Seoul has urged Tokyo to not use its plan for tougher inspections of South Korean marine products as retaliation for the ban on certain Japanese seafood products.
The measures begin starting tomorrow, citing risks of food poisoning during the summer.

Seoul had banned certain Japanese marine products following the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster.
