S. Korea’s monthly exports hit a historic high in July since the nation started compiling the data for the last 65 years. The figure has wiped out skeptical concerns that exports would slow in the second half over the prolonging pandemic. According to the nation’s trade ministry, the S. Korean exports spiked 29.6% on-year to 55.44 billion dollars in July. Experts evaluate the balanced and diversified exports growth in the nation’s five flagship sectors, such as semiconductors and autos, were the main drivers behind the surge. Thanks to the growth pattern, watchers estimate that S. Korea can end this year by topping a record high of 600 billion dollars in annual exports. This week, we invite experts to discuss whether S.
