May 10th marks the fourth anniversary of President Moon Jae-in’s inauguration. As the S. Korean leader only has one year left in his tenure, attention is being brought to the diplomatic events that the president will take part in the next several months. President Moon will first meet with U.S. President Joe Biden in Washington to affirm the bilateral alliance. On May 30th, he will take part in the 2021 P4G Seoul Summit as a host to work with other participants to achieve green growth and global mission set for 2030. On June 11th, President Moon will visit London to attend the G7 session as a guest. The president said during a cabinet meeting in March that he is proud to see South Korea receive invitation to the G7 summit in a row and that fact that the nation has surpassed the Group of Seven in GDP per capita for the first time.
This week, we invite experts to discuss the diplomatic activities and tasks that President Moon is slated to take part in the final year of his term.
