A potter who infuses the Korean sentiment into porcelain.
Shin Gyung-kyun is a world-class ceramic artist who expresses Korean aesthetics in his dalhangari, also known as moon jars. He has received the spotlight in the art circles abroad over two major events.
In 2014, he held an exhibition at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Four years later, he displayed his dalhangari at the pre-opening ceremony reception of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
Currently, he is drawing attention from the foreign audiences with his exhibition titled, 'Touch Crescent Moons' being held at the Palazzo Mora, an art gallery in Venice, Italy.
The exhibition shows an interactive art installation that combines dalhangari fragments and the latest image processing technique via AI.
