the leaders of S. Korea, N. Korea, and the U.S.
On June 30, the leaders of South Korea, North Korea and the U.S. held a three-way meeting for the very first time. The eyes of the world fell on Panmunjeom as South Korean President Moon Jae-in, U.S. President Donald Trump, and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un got together for their historic encounter. Other aspects of the meeting also came into media focus, such as the absence of U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton and President Trump's daughter Ivanka. The regional powers including China and Japan also watched the developments closely, but showed mixed reactions. In this week's edition of 'Foreign Correspondents', we sit down with our panel of journalists to take a more in-depth look at the June 30 meeting in Panmunjeom and the latest changes to the geopolitical dynamic surrounding the Korean Peninsula.
