Diplomatic Superweek
President Trump's first state visit to Korea... and the third Korea-U.S. summit

President Moon Jae-in carried out a busy diplomatic schedule for about a week. The start, was the Korea-U.S. summit held on November 7th. For President Trump, it was the first state visit to Korea by a U.S. president in 25 years, and he started his trip with a visit to Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do Province. The two leaders promptly went into their meeting, soon after the official welcoming ceremony, as they agreed to respond sternly to North Korea's provocations. They also agreed to a reasonable level of defense cost-sharing and the promotion of Korea-U.S. FTA talks. The state dinner was a friendly, yet slightly controversial affair, with the two leaders embracing a victim of Japan's wartime sexual slavery, and dining on shrimp caught in waters off the disputed island of Dokdo, all of which attracted the attention of foreign media. President Moon and President Trump's third Korea-U.S. summit! We'll take a look at what was discussed and achieved at the meeting.
