Right now, we're in a golden age of cocktails! More and more bartenders are offering lists of aperitifs, small-plates drinks and after-dinner drinks that sparkle with sophistication and creativity. In particular, Korean cocktails involve a variety of jaw-dropping bartending skills along with the mix of Korean liquor, such as soju and makgeolli, fueling the globalization of Korean food and beverages. Here on Project K-Culture Elite, we have three contestants showcasing their art of mixology. How will they transform Western and Korean liquor, and who will be crowned the winner this week?
Regina GANZHINA (Russia)
Regina Ganzhina is a passionate bartender, full of creative ideas with 2 years of experience in the field. She became fascinated by the art of cocktails after she happened to pop into a bar, which soon changed her life.
Vina TENG (Indonesia)
Vina Teng is a perfectionist who creates beautiful and tasty cocktails. With 3 years of experience as a bartender, Vina loves mixing various ingredients and liquor to make her one-of-a-kind cocktails.
Nicolas DAVILA (Ecuador)
Nicolas is the least experienced yet the most passionate contestant of this challenge. Inspired by the spectacular bartending skills he witnessed, Nicolas began to create his own extraordinary beverages.
Son Jae-yong is an inspection commissioner of the Asia Bartenders Association Korea. Renowned for his juggling and flair bartending tricks, Son is one of the best bartenders in Korea.
Yang Woong-seek is the president of the International Flair Barista Association and the winner of the World's Bartender Championship and the Gold Shake Cup.
PARK Hugh is the president of the Korea Foodservice Beverage Association. Using various food ingredients for his art of mixology, he creates extremely visually-appealing cocktails.
