There is a backpack enabling 3D indoor mapping, and it was developed by a Korean research team. This backpack-shaped system obtains data and images using various types of sensors including laser and gravity sensors, and it can be used to create detailed 3D indoor maps. By carrying around this sensor-equipped device, an interior space can be mapped in a matter of minutes, making the mapping process less costly and time-consuming compared to the existing systems.
