Flutist Philipp Jundt, who touches everyone with his flute's sensual sounds

Flutist Philipp Jundt is from Switzerland and he is well-loved for his warm and sensual performances. Since 2008, he has been a professor at the Korean branch of the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar at Kangnam University and has a special relationship with Korea.

Philipp Jundt paid a visit to The INNERview to add a festive touch to the program. We hear about his love for music as well as his special challenges in Korea.

He has been teaching Korean students for 8 years. He has an avid interest in education and he says he wants to tell the students the diverse ways of approaching music.

"The essential of music is that the notes aren't performed in a fast or accurate manner. At times, unexpected things which are far from music can teach you how to understand Bach or can teach you how to perform the cadenza."

He recently released the album "The Guardian Angel," which is made up of the rearranged pieces by Brahms for the flute and the piano. Brahms' pieces were not intended for the flute, but Philipp Jundt rearranged them for the flute and introduced the pieces in a new light to the world.

The INNERview begins with the performance of "Passacaglia in G Minor." We learn about Philipp Jundt's 27 year career as a flutist, as well as his diverse music challenges in Korea.
