Kim Sung-hong, Art Director of the Korean Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition

Joining us this week is architectural scholar Kim Sung-hong, the art director of the Korean Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition. We learn more about the significance of the Korean Pavilion, as well as professor Kim Sung-hong's architectural philosophy and vision.

This year's theme of the International Architecture Exhibition is "Reporting from the Front." Out of the 59 countries taking part, the New York Times selected the Korean Pavilion as one of the must-see national Pavilions.

Architectural scholar Kim Sung-hong shares the meaning of "The FAR Game: Constraints Sparking Creativity" which is the theme of the Korean Pavilion.

According to Kim Sung-hong, Korean architects think of the maximum area they can construct when they see land, and the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) gives a constrictive meaning of the changes which took place in Seoul for the past 5 decades.

Learn more about architecture which answers the questions in life, as well as Kim Sung-hong's architectural philosophies on "The INNERview."
