Mike Ellis, the President and Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific Region for the Motion Picture Association (MPA)

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) was founded in 1922 to represent American film production studios and distributors. The Motion Picture Association has regional offices in North America, South America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, the last of which is headed by Mike Ellis.

The members of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) are 6 major Hollywood studios including Walt Disney, Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, 21st Century Fox, NBC Universal Studios, and Warner Bros., while the overseas offices are operated under the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

MPAA and MPA are dedicated to protecting the copyrights of film and television contents. As part of their efforts, they collaborate with government agencies and international organizations on tracking and blocking illegal download sites, and they even propose bills concerning copyright protection and monitor illegal downloading and distribution activities as the "contents police."

On this week's The INNERview, we met with Mike Ellis at a cinema complex in Gangnam, Seoul, and had a chance to learn about the various campaigns run by his organization to protect the copyrights of film and television contents.

Tune into The INNERview this week to meet Mike Ellis, who's in the forefront of copyright protection.
