Uigwe, In Search of Our Lost History - Dr. PARK Byeong-seon

The Uigwe was kept on Ganghwado, but it was stolen by the French in 1866 during the Byeongin Yangyo, the French campaign against Korea.
All 297 volumes returned to Korea in 2011 after being away for 145 years.
In order to recover the Uigwe, Korea's lost pride, one woman contributed endless dedication and effort.
That woman was the historian, Dr. Park Byeong-seon.
