This Green Future Session by the Ministry of Environment themed “Hope for the Future, Biodiversity Restoration” aims to strengthen communication and cooperation among global experts and citizens for climate change response and biodiversity conservation. Various video messages for the global audience to empathize with the danger of biodiversity loss and the importance of biodiversity restoration will also be prepared.
Biodiversity conservation is the most urgent issue in this era of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biodiversity loss has led to a lot of critical crises, including the undermining of the human health, economy, environment, and society. In preparing for the post COVID-19 world, we need to shift our paradigm and make joint efforts in biodiversity restoration.
The sub-session titled ‘Everybody’s participation for Biodiversity Restoration’ will provide an opportunity for the public to easily understand and deeply sympathize with the interrelated issues between the P4G Global Goals and biodiversity restoration. ‘Biodiversity Restoration as seen by Natural Scientists’ will share sustainable development and direction for a better future with the global audience.
