In an effort to promote winter sports in countries without chilly weather and to nurture athletes around the world, the 2006 Dream Program attracted 118 teens from 30 nations Feb. 5 through 17.
Participants hailed from Africa, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America. The program was divided into four parts, including skiing and skating. Viewers can enjoy video clips of participants who overcame fear of the ice, those who found the cold weather to be a challenge and yet others who fell in love with the charm of winter sports.
Viewers can also enjoy the emotional stories shared during a two-week training session. It’s a program that inspires teens to put their potential into action and to taste the thrill of winter sports. The feature also offers a look at the work of volunteers – especially missionaries serving as interpreters, friends and parents.
