A Green Wind of Change
Low-carbon Green Growth - the Choice of Survival

"Low-carbon green growth" has become a buzzword in the era of high oil prices and global warming. President Lee Myung-bak set the nation's vision at green growth in his last speech marking Korea's independence. Then how does Korea envision its green growth and how will it impact its future as well as the future of the entire world? Arirang TV's documentary "Growing Green" is aimed at publicizing the meaning of Korea's low-carbon green growth to the world.

1. Finding the Culprit of Global Warming
The problem of global warming has emerged as one of the most urgent problems of present-day society, including children. Then how much does the public know about carbon dioxide - the culprit of global warming? We measured the amount of carbon dioxide emitted on a daily basis through the example of Mr. Yoo Chang-won's family.

2. The Green Revolution Has Begun in Korea
How far has Korea come in terms of green growth? We take a look at life in a zero-energy house through researcher Ju Hong-jin from the Korea Institute of Energy Research and the meaning of green growth from the business perspective through the example of a brewery company that has installed the nation's largest solar heating and air-conditioning equipment. We also introduce to you Deungyong Town of North Jeolla Province, which dreams of becoming energy-independent.

3. Green New Deal of Korean Type 
The Korean government launched the Green New Deal this year to nurture green industries into the nation's new economic growth engines and revive the economy. We take a look at the goals and future of Korea's Green New Deal through Korean green car technologies that were showcased at the Detroit Auto Show in the U.S.
