The Day: 64 years too late
February 2014.
South and North Korea agree to hold a rare round of reunions for families separated since the Korean War.
82 elderly South Koreans gather at a mountains resort in the northeastern port city of Sokcho to ready themselves for the journey of their lives: they are going home, back to their families for the first time in 64 years.
Arirang Special follows the emotional journey of these select few and the hundreds of thousands who remain divided with their family on the Korean peninsula.
