S. Korea COVID-19 tally remains under 20,000 Updated: 2022-05-28 10:49:31 KST

The nation's daily COVID-19 tally remained below 20-thousand for the third straight day.
According to the KDCA, the number of infections was 14,398, driving the total to slightly above 18 million.
Critical cases stood at 196, dropping to a 10-month low amid the receding Omicron wave.
There were 36 virus-related deaths, making the total 24,139.
The fatality rate stands at Point-1-3 percent.
Over 44 million, or 86.9 percent of the population, have completed the full two-dose vaccinations.
Some 33 million, representing 64.9 percent, have received initial booster shots. In addition, more than 3.9-7 million got the second booster jabs.
