Quarantine period to be shortened to seven days for all inbound travelers from Feb. 4 Updated: 2022-01-28 17:46:45 KST

The self-quarantine period for all inbound travelers into South Korea is set to be reduced to seven days, from the current ten, starting February fourth.
The South Korean government had earlier required everyone arriving into the country to quarantine for ten days regardless of their vaccination status.
But the latest revision comes in line with the government's Omicron-tailored virus prevention system.
Entry restrictions for foreigners arriving from eleven African countries on short-term visas are also set to be lifted on February fourth.
