The European Union's public health agency says all adults should be getting COVID-19 booster vaccines.
The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control on Wednesday said that additional doses should be considered for all adults,.. with priority given to those aged 40 and older.
The agency's head said that boosters should be administered at least 6 months after completing vaccinations.
She added that extra doses could reduce potential infections and deaths.
The advice is a major shift from previous guidance in the fall, which played down the urgency of giving boosters.
