South Korea reported 1,5-hundred-8 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, up almost 70 cases from the previous day.
All but 21 cases were locally transmitted.
Saturday marks the 15th straight day the country's caseload has stayed below 2-thousand.
This comes as South Korea's vaccination drive picks up pace, with around 68 percent of the population now fully inoculated.
The 70 percent threshold proposed by the government --a prerequisite step to return to normal-- is likely to be achieved this weekend.
