OPEC+ agree to add only 400,000 barrels per day in November Updated: 2021-10-05 14:08:10 KST

Ministers from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, and their allies, known as OPEC plus, have decided to continue with their existing oil output plan to only gradually add oil to the market.
The 23-member group agreed on Monday to raise production by a modest 400-thousand barrels a day in November, less than point-5 percent of global demand.
Immediately after Monday's decision, oil prices jumped with the price of a barrel of crude hitting above 78 U.S. dollars, on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the highest since 2014.
