Gov't extends current social distancing measures for 2 additional weeks Updated: 2021-10-01 22:28:07 KST

The South Korean government has extended its social distancing measures for an additional two weeks with some tweaks.
Specifically weddings will be allowed to have up to 99 people if at least 50 of them are fully vaccinated and for weddings where no food is served, the number will go up to 199 with at least half fully vaccinated.
Outdoors sports activities such as club baseball or soccer will be allowed with the minimum number of players needed.
The Prime Minister added that the country will take steps towards normalcy starting November once more people are fully vaccinated.
The process will be gradual but at the same time authorities will enforce the standing rules strictly to make sure no one is letting their guard down until the end.
But throughout the process he said government's ears will be open to everyone's voice.
