Around 10% of cases in early September are breakthrough cases in S. Korea Updated: 2021-09-23 05:35:52 KST

Around a tenth of all infections in South Korea in the last two weeks have been breakthrough cases.
According to health authorities on Wednesday until the 12th of September the number of COVID-19 infections among those fully vaccinated stood at 5,8-hundred-80 a rise of over 11-hundred cases since the count a week earlier.
The rise comes as more than half of the nation is now fully vaccinated and the number of the cases so far is around 0.0-4 percent of all the vaccinated.
The most common type of vaccine reported in the count was Janssen's, then Pfizer's, then AstraZeneca's then Moderna's.
The Delta variant accounted for nearly 90-percent of all the breakthrough cases.
