The number of people employed in South Korea rose on-year for the sixth consecutive month in August.
This coming despite the toughest distancing rules being in place across the capital area.
According to Statistics Korea on Wednesday, over 27.6 million people were employed last month, up roughly 518-thousand on-year.
But the pace of growth has slowed for the fourth straight month.
August's job additions,. were around 24-thousand lower than July's increase.
In terms of sectors, the largest job losses were in retail, which had 113-thousand fewer jobs last month than a year earlier.
On the other hand, employment in healthcare saw the biggest on-year rise, adding 243-thousand more jobs.
