Good afternoon. We need to stay weather aware for the next couple of days as super typhoon Chanthu that's hovering in waters southwest of Jeju looks to come close to the island by early Friday. So from tomorrow, Jeju and southern regions will be feeling an even stronger impact, with it hitting the hardest nationwide on Friday.
For today, mountainous regions on Jeju could see 100 more millimeters of rainfall, Less than yesterday
However, winds will pick up. We'll have violent winds of 30 to 40 meters per second, strong enough to blow trains off tracks so brace for rough conditions.
A strong wind advisory is in place on Jeju, waters off the southern coast of the island are under a typhoon warning, and typhoon related alerts will be expanded as the week goes on.
Meanwhile, upper regions will enjoy fine early autumn weather under blue skieshitting 28 degrees Celsius in the capital.
