South Korea reports 1,372 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday Updated: 2021-08-31 11:17:20 KST

South Korea reported 1,3-hundred-72 caseson Tueday first time in two weeks for a daily caseload under 14-hundred.
All but 39 were locally transmitted
This is down 115 from the day before.
As you mentioned, Tuesdays' numbers are generally lower, but even comparing it to Tuesday of last week it's around a hundred less.
But it's too early for the authorities to call it a downward trend considering numbers in the nation's capital Seoul continue to rise.
On the other hand, the vaccination campaign is picking up speed as nearly 30 percent of those eligible in the nation have been fully vaccinated.
As of now, the goal is to reach 50 percent in a month, and it seems to be on track for that target.
