South Korea is seeing significant progress on its vaccination front, with some half of the population inoculated with at least one jab.
The country passed this milestone on Saturday, just 1-hundred-76 days since it started to administer vaccine shots.
President Moon Jae-in congratulated the speedy progress in a tweet and said that life would return to pre-pandemic levels if people continue to abide by vaccination measures.
He added that at this rate, more than 70 percent of the population could receive at least one dose before Chuseok, Korea's Thanksgiving Day, which is on September 21st.
