South Korea reported its biggest job growth figure in almost seven years last month, hinting that the job market is on track for recovery.
Statistics Korea said on Wednesday that the number of employed amounted to 27.2 million in April, up 652-thousand from a year earlier.
The figure marks the largest on-year gain since August 2014.

The agency attributed the growth to improved economic activity due to eased social distancing measures and the base effect from severe job loss last year.
