The leaders of the U.S. and Japan have reaffirmed the need to achieve North Korea's complete denuclearization.
According to the White House on Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden held a phone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga for the first time since his inauguration.
During the 30-minute conversation, the two leaders also underscored the role of the Washington-Tokyo alliance as a cornerstone for peace and prosperity in a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
