Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min has added another trophy to his growing list of honors.
This time he has been named Asia’s Choice for the continent’s Best International Player of 2020, given by the Asian Football Confederation.
The annual award recognizes the club and national team performances of Asian players playing for professional clubs outside of the AFC.
The latest award gives him four, having previously won in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
With the award chosen by fans and an independent panel of experts, Son is recognized for his superb calendar year, in which he scored 22 goals for Tottenham.
Son has also won Tottenham's 2019-2020 Player of the Year, the 2020 KFA Player of the Year and the FIFA Puska's Award for the most beautiful goal in world football.
Other South Koreans were amongst the finalists, including Lee Kang-in of Valencia, who finished 7th.
In the women's category, Chelsea's Ji So-yun finished 5th, while Hyundai Steel's Jang Sel-gi finished 6th.
Ulsan Hyundai FC's Won Du-jae, who won the U-23 AFC Championship MVP, was ranked 3rd among the confederation's best young player category.
