South Korea's national security advisor Suh Hoon held a virtual meeting on Friday with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts, telling them that there needs to be efforts to resume dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea now that the presidential election is over.
The three discussed denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula.
They agreed that diplomatic and security cooperation should continue no matter the result of the election.
They also agreed to strengthen their cooperation on a COVID-19 vaccine as well as on the development and distribution of treatments.
The three plan to hold an in-person meeting soon if the situation allows.
