Severe flooding has swallowed up Italy's famous lagoon city of Venice.
The water level reached at almost 1-hundred-90 centimeters on Wednesday, which is the country's highest water level in 53 years.
Declaring a state of emergency on Wednesday, Venice's mayor blamed climate change for the flooding.
The floods have destroyed historical buildings, including San Marco, and left two people dead.
