President Moon Jae-in is moments away from delivering a speech at the National Assembly on next year's budget, the fourth speech of its kind that he's given since taking office in 2017.
The president is set to call for bipartisan support in reviewing and confirming next year's budget of about 440 billion U.S. dollars, an over nine percent increase on-year.
He will speak about ways to breathe life into the South Korean economy in 2020 after a tough 2019 and explain the direction of the government's expansionary fiscal policy aimed at getting people into work and making life easier for regular people in South Korea.
We'll have English translation of the president's speech for you.
Before President Moon takes to the podium, we'll hear briefly from National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang, so with that let's pass it over to the assembly to hear what the president has up his sleeve to try and steady the ship in the latter half of his presidency.
